History

In the midst of a reference university in research, in 2000 the “Team Marthe da Unicamp” was born. After a major restructuring, the team went through two more changes in its name: in 2005 - "Phoenix Robot Challenge Team" - and in 2013, consolidating itself as "Unicamp's Phoenix Robotics Team". Living up to the university to which it belongs, the team's main objective is technological innovation through the development of its own technology through projects for robotics competitions.

At first, the team was composed of students from Control and Automation Engineering and competed only in the combat categories in robotics events. Progressively, our activities were attracting students from Mechanical, Electrical and Computer Engineering. Today, Phoenix has students from a variety of courses and participates in many more competitive modalities, with seven active projects. As the team is formed (mainly) by undergraduate students, the period that each member remains active is short. Because of this, the team's features are constantly changing.

The team aims to share technical knowledge and mutual learning among members through the challenges of each project. In addition, innovation and technological development make up our most striking aspects.

National reference in robotics competitions and with the explicit character of developing technologies for our robots, we face the challenges of practicing engineering day by day.
